2009 seems to be the year of celebrity deaths: MJ, Keith Floyd, DJ AM, Patrick Swayze etc, but I guess the effect of their deaths had been multiplied with the onset of Twitter’s insane popularity. Nothing is sacred anymore. Death has become a popularity contest!

For all the Twitter geeks out there, you will most probably know of the Twitpocalypse. It trended like crazy for the past few days. It details the failure of Twitter applications due to a reach of an integer. It is similiar to the Y2K bug, and phenomenon. People were going crazy over nothing really. Rumours ran rampant on Twitter yesterday of a supposed acquisition of Twitter by Apple. It was a strange and unexpected: Apple primarily a hardware manufacturer buying a website.
It got me thinking what would the implications be if Apple does indeed pay Twitter the $750mil. Would Apple change something that hinders the use, or only improve it? If any changes are made, I’d expect some PC-lovers to loathe it. Continue reading “If Apple buys Twitter” »
