Twitter is awesome, especially when your favourite funny people are also on it!
These are just some of my favourites that are on Twitter:
@eddieizzard – Our favourite transvestite! He even tweets while on stage.
@alandavies1 – Some know him from Jonathan Creek, but I know him as a hilarious permanent panellist from QI. Which brings us to our next witty genius.
@StepenFry – The man behind QI and the other half of A Bit of Fry and Laurie (@Laurie is on, but he hasn’t really said anything substantial). He is the 2nd most followed comedian on Twitter.
The honour goes to @TheEllenShow run by Ellen Degeneres. She hides tickets. How cool is that?
@RealBillBailey – The talented comedian is not only funny, but has a team of trained woodlice typing for him!
@jimmycarr – The incredibly witty and snide comedian. There is too many funny things he tweets about. Read them all.
@JohnCleese – No introduction needed.
@rainnwilson – The man behind Dwight from The Office. I agree with this!

Yes, there are some great comedians and all round funny men on Twitter. However, sometimes the tweets don’t always compare to their on-stage/tv personalities. @alandavies1 is one of the biggest let downs. He is amazing on QI, but on Twitter he is rather boring. Another funny man Simon missed is Peter Serafinowicz (@serafinowicz). Almost all his tweets are hilarious: on par with Jimmy Carr. Also, another comedian you might want to follow is Arj Barker (@arjbarker).
